Chia, Robert. Ph.D. FRSA



Robert Chia ( ; is Research Professor of Management at the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow. He received his PhD from Lancaster University. He has authored/edited five books and published extensively in the top international management journals including the Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, Organization Studies, Human Relations, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Management Inquiry and Long Range Planning. His research interests include: the application of process thinking to human actions, decisions and change; the logic of practice in strategy making; east-west philosophies and wisdom and their implications for the conduct of business; and the aims of management education. Prior to entering academia Robert worked for sixteen years in aircraft engineering, human resource management and manufacturing management.
